Hi Everyone -
It has been quite awhile since I've stitched on my Wool Crazy block :( Seems like once the weather turns, sewing takes a bit of a back seat until the outside is caught up!
Here is my center block - nothing fancy but I am making progress!
Oh, it's sooo cute! Nice way to celebrate the warmer days. B=)
ReplyDeleteGreat Start!!!! Have fun adding the things you love!
ReplyDeleteSweet! How'd ya get the stitching so perfect in the words? good start :0)
ReplyDeleteHappy Sewing
It looks like most of the samples I have seen are done with the wools being seamed together on the machine rather than laid on top of each other and basted down - am I right? Do you sew thru all layers when doing embroidery stitches? Thanks for the help - I am just getting started.
ReplyDeleteHi Jill - I couldn't find how to reach you by e-mail so I'll answer you here! I didn't do anything on the sewing machine - I laid out my wool, overlapped it and then did the seams with different embroidery stitches. Since I couldn't work through all the layers, I ended up backing my wool with iron-on interfacing - what you would use for embroidery stitching - and then just plugged away! If you want more info, just e-mail me! Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteLove love it!!! The orange coneflower is gorgeous!
